1999 Champions - Mexico

The USA won the US Cup for the third time, equalling Mexico's record of three wins.

This prestigious Nike-sponsored tournament has been held every year since 1992 (except in World Cup years) and is in league format with the United States (host) and three invited national teams taking part.

South Africa was invited for the first time this year along with Mexico and Ireland.
