Kalambay Bibey Mutombo, DR Congo
Mutombo replaced
Milutin
Sredojevic of Serbia who was released from his position on January 15 2007
having recorded just 3 wins in 12 matches.
Sredojevic was appointed head coach
in the 2006/07 pre-season from assistant coaches
Momchilo Medic and Tebogo Moloi who had taken over from Kosta
Papic of Serbia and Montenegro on May 9 2006 following his
resignation.With just
five years of African experience the 38 year-old
Sredojevic
won five league championships (three with SC Villa of Uganda and two
with St George FC in the Ethiopian Premier League).
Papic, with extensive experience in Nigeria where he coached
big name clubs Enyimba, Enugu
Rangers and Lobi Stars, failed to win a trophy since taking over in the 2004/05 season from Augusto
Palacios.
