| A qualifying system was introduced for the first time by football's world governing body
FIFA to decide which African team will play at the Women's Olympic
football finals. According to the decision of the FIFA Executive
Committee, the allocation of CAF for the OFT's Beijing 2008 Women's
competition is 1.5 - the half slot will play-off with CONMEBOL's half
slot.
The CAF preliminary competition format is composed of four stages;
Preliminary Round, First Round, Second Round and Third Round. |

Round: Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, RD Congo, Algeria, Morocco,
Ethiopia and Zimbabwe |

Preliminary Round shall not be seeded for the First Round: Equatorial
Guinea, Liberia, Senegal and the Winner Angola/Tanzania, Winner
Mozambique/Comoros, Winner Guinea Bissau/Guinea, Winner Benin/Namibia
and Winner Uganda/Eritrea |
| In all cases the first named club will play at home in
the first leg w signifies withdrawal
w/o signifies walk over
D signifies disqualification
P signifies postponed
