Council of Southern African Football Associations Cup 2000

2000 Champions: Zimbabwe
|
|
The COSAFA Castle Cup is the most lucrative regional club cup on the continent offering a total of R1,5-million in prize money.
This year, the fourth in the tournament's history, saw the highest ever total of 11 participant countries with the inclusion of Mauritius for the first time.
Mauritius is one of three new members of the newly-renamed Council of Southern Africa Football Associations. Mauritius was chosen in a draw ahead of the two other new members, Madagascar and Seychelles, as only one could be accommodated in this year's tournament.
The four first round winners and the best loser joined holders Angola and last year's joint runners-up Namibia and Swaziland in the quarterfinals.
