Final Rounds

2000 Champions - Zamalek (Egypt)

Cup-starved Egyptian giants, Zamalek have won the African Cup Winners Cup for the first time ever, to end a four-year wait since they last lifted the Champions Cup trophy in 1996.

The African Cup Winners Cup (aka The Mandela Cup) is a knock out, two leg tie competition, for the winners of the most important cup competition in each CAF affiliated nation.

Defending champions, Africa Sports, entered the more lucrative African Champions League as Cote d'Ivoire League Champions.
