The 12th African Nations Youth Championships 2001

Qualifying Rounds
Under-20 African Championship held every two years since 1979 for the FIFA World Youth Cup. In 1977, the first year of the World Youth Cup, the African representatives were determined purely on a qualifying basis with no African title on the line.
The seven Round 2 winning countries along with hosts Ethiopia will qualify for the 2001 African Youth Championship Finals to be held 18 March - 1 April 2001.
