2002 Champion: Zamalek (Egypt) 2002 Champion: Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) 2002 Champion: JS Kabylie (Algeria)
Winner of League Championship Winner of major knockout Cup - the runner-up qualifies in the event that the winner is also the League Champion Runner-up of League Championship - the "next best" team (as determined by the local FA) qualifies in the event that the runner-up is also the Cup champion

Clubs banned from participation for 2003-05
