The following twelve countries are allowed two representatives each in both the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup:

Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, DR Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia

Clubs banned for unsanctioned match withdrawals or other flouting of FIFA regulations
2007-08: Kaizer Chiefs (South Africa)
2007 only: Ulinzi Stars (Kenya), Mtibwa Sugar (Tanzania)

Non-entrants in any competition:
