When
: 7-19th January 2002
Where
: Waterford Kamhlaba College, Mbabane
Who
: All registered members of the Swaziland National Swimming Association (SNSA)
What
: The SNSA, will once again be hosting a training camp for all registered swimmers. We would like to take this opportunity in thanking Coca - Cola Swaziland for sponsoring the camp.
The camp which will begin on Monday 7th January (swimmers to register at 9:00am in the main car park) will continue through to Saturday noon 12th January after the first set of time trials which ALL swimmers wishing to be considered for the International gala must attend.
ALL SWIMMERS MUST DEPART AFTER TIME TRIALS.
The camp will resume on Monday 14th and end on Saturday 19th noon after the second set of time trials have been carried out. Again swimmers wishing to be considered for the International must attend these time trials.
In addition to the time trials all swimmers wishing to be considered for the International will be expected to attend at least ONE WEEK of the training camp.
The SNSA wants to ensure that those entered for the International are at a reasonable level of fitness and by participating in the training camp will show the dedicated attitude the SNSA would like to see.
The International gala is to be held at Sifundzani pool 25 / 27th January 2002 and to date we have 7 teams participating including teams from South Africa, Zambia, Kenya and Mozambique.
The swimmers will be grouped according to ability and each group will train twice per day. Stroke technique, starts, turns, finishes, endurance and sprint work will make up the sessions.
On the Wednesday afternoons we hope to take the swimmers out for an outing most likely to Luphohlo dam for a fun afternoon. ( We will require transport assistance for these outings )
Accommodation & Meals
All swimmers will be hosted in the form 4/5 hostel which is located next to the main dining area and has a TV / common – room where the swimmers can enjoy TV / Videos, table tennis and where swimming talks etc may be given. Al meals will be taken in the main dining hall and costs are covered in the daily fee (the fee includes breakfast / lunch / dinner)
Girls and boys will have separate sleeping quarters and each hostel will be locked at nighttime by those in charge of the two different hostels. A responsible female adult will take care of the girls hostel and male adult for the boys. Each child will have his / her own room which will have a bed, cupboard space and desk. All swimmers will remain within the confines of the school premises which has 24 hour guards, unless cleared to leave by those coaches / parents involved in running the camp.
A tuck shop will open on a daily basis for sweets, chips, drinks, etc.
Day swimmers
Although the SNSA encourages al swimmers to stay for the full duration of the camp, it realizes that some of the younger swimmers may feel more comfortable returning home each evening and this will be accommodated for. The parents of these children will be responsible for dropping off and collecting the swimmers before and after their sessions ( Training times will be sorted at a later date )
Day swimmers will be subject to a E20 / day fee which will include lunch and this needs to be indicated at the start of each week so lunches may be arranged accordingly.
Cost
The cost of the camp is E180 / week which includes all meals and accommodation.

The aim of the camp is to build team spirit and new friendships among the swimmers.
THE SNSA WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY BULLYING / RUDENESS / MISBEHAVIOUR BY SWIMMERS, AND THOSE DOING SO WILL BE TOLD TO LEAVE.
